It's no secret that hair is one of the most important things when it comes to our appearance. We often spend a lot of time and money trying to get the perfect cut or style, and for good reason.

Our hair can say a lot about our personality and can even affect our confidence levels. That's why having celebrity-like hair can be such a game changer. Not only does it make us look great, but it also boosts our confidence. Unfortunately, not all of us are blessed with naturally perfect hair, however, there is an affordable solution.

Clip-in hair extensions are a great way to get the look you want without having to put in hours of styling time. Plus, they're relatively easy to maintain, which means you can keep your new look for weeks or even months at a time. So if you're looking for a way to boost your confidence and show the world your best self, hair extensions to complement your own hair could be the answer.

Get Ready in Minutes

A quality hair extension works well with thin hair, thick hair, long hair, or short hair – hair types of all kinds! Their versatility makes them a popular hair accessory that can help create a flawless natural look without a big time commitment.

In a matter of minutes, you could be wearing thick hair extensions that add volume to your real hair. Clip-in hair extensions are extremely affordable and one of the easiest types of hair extensions to wear. They eliminate the need to spend any additional time or money at the hair salon because they can simply be clipped on in the comfort of your home.

A Step-By-Step Guide to Putting on Hair Extensions

Wearing clip-in hair extensions is easier than you think!  With clip-in hair extensions, you can rock any style and flaunt your longer hair without actually growing it out.

Step 1: Brushing Your Hair

Gently brush your hair with a soft paddle brush, and a rat tail comb to ensure your hair is tangle free. Detangling your hair becomes crucial when you have to section off your hair, later on in the process. Step 2: Clipping Wefts

Separate a thin section of hair starting from the nape of your neck and tie up the rest of your hair. Take a clip weft and brush it out and clip onto the separated section of hair. Make sure the weft and the sectioned hair piece are the same length.

When separating your hair, a pointy comb can be very useful in creating straight sections that help blend hair extensions seamlessly.

Once you are confident the weft and separated hair fit perfectly, clip the middle clip of the weft into the roots of your hair. Try to clip the weft as close to your roots as possible. After clipping on the center clip, be sure to clip on the second clip and third clip the same way, with enough hair in each section so your hair doesn’t get pulled.

Follow this same procedure for every separated section of hair and make your way from the nape to the crown of your head. Depending on the length of your separated hair strand and the location of the strand on your head, you can use a 3 clip weft or a 4 clip weft. The wider the hair pieces the larger the number of clips in the weft.

Behind the ear and on the left side and right side of your head a smaller clip count weft is clipped on. When you apply clip in extensions, make sure your rat tail combs make a straight horizontal part across your scalp for a less visible installation.

Step 3: Final Touches

A tip for women with less thicker hair is to spray on a bit of hairspray to your roots which will provide extra grip for the clip-ins.

Continue clipping on wefts to the sectioned portion of your crown area and up to your hairline, with the clip closer to your roots. Ensure the middle clips are secured on first before the other clips in the weft.

Position your hair and secure clips to your natural hair to create a hairstyle that looks like you have extra volume in your hair. Ideally the clip-in should be one inch apart from each other, especially in the top section of your hair. This will give off a more natural looking effect to your hair.

Styling your hair with a heat tool such as a curling iron will no longer damage your hair as much because of your extensions.
